Kampot pepper is grown in Kampot province located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia. This is an area that, thanks to its maritime climate and geological conditions, allows local farmers to produce the highest quality pepper in the world. It is not for nothing that this pepper received a protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne. We buy pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions, which guarantee a fair reward for each grower, and we try to promote this approach among other traders as well. Kampot pepper is divided into three basic colors, which differ from each other due to the processing of the fruits of the pepper vines.

White pepper is a specialty that is obtained from fully ripe red peppercorns. These are then dried in direct sunlight and soaked again to remove the red skin, leaving only the creamy white peppercorns.

Thanks to the careful selection that meets the strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot, set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are always selected by hand. These are then vacuum-sealed to preserve quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packed and delivered to your table.

Individual types of Kampot pepper differ from each other in their taste and aroma, which you can hardly find in pepper bought in regular supermarkets.

White pepper is a gentle but still peppery caress of the taste buds. After it is ground, the aromas of camphor, sage and cedar wood develop, accompanied by the delicate aroma of nutmeg, grapefruit and other citrus fruits. After a few minutes in your mouth, you can feel notes of nutmeg, thyme flower and lemon balm underpinned by aromas of cedar and black tea.

Due to the different taste, smell and pungency, individual types of pepper are suitable for different purposes.

White pepper goes well with light meat. It perfectly supports the taste of seafood, gets along well with risotto, creamy soups, and its taste is not lost even in combination with a good paste.

The finer you grind the Kampot pepper, the more intense the pungency will be, on the contrary, larger fragments or whole grains will give the dish more specific notes of pepper.

We pack pepper in resealable bags with a volume of 20 to 100 grams. Thanks to the materials used and the special technology of closing the bags, air and moisture do not reach the pepper. Thanks to this, the grains retain the authentic taste and aroma of Kampot pepper even after opening the bag.
